Renu, a graduate from Delhi University and, a Masters in Hindi from Jamia Milia brings with herself a vast treasure of exposure and experience. She is in the final year of her MSW and holds a Diploma in early child-care education. “She has put in more than 10 years in the development sector teaching children, mobilizing and counseling of children and young adults. Renu has put in committed work with the Delhi Commission For Women (DCW) and has been organizing Mahila Panchayats and women’s groups to stop every form of violence against women. Her slogan of the future is ‘Stop Violence Against Women – NOW’. Her strong-point – she has succeeded in bringing together women from various backgrounds and communities into single groups to work for the welfare of women in their locality. These women’s groups work to empower and strengthen individual effort in areas of livelihood, education of children, health and any other issue of concern to even individuals to develop a more concerned and involved social structure.

Laxmi Singh
Trustee – Treasurer

Laxmi contributes to the organization by being pragmatic and meticulous. With a B.Com. (Honours) from Delhi University followed by a B.Ed., from the Jamia Milia University, Delhi she is also a trained and accredited artisan in stitch-craft and embroidery by the Handicraft Board, Government of India. She can lay claim to extensive experience in fashion designing and handicraft designs. She is a para-legal volunteer of the Delhi Legal Service Authority and specializes in providing women from the local communities in availing legal redress in matters relating to property rights and other issues of discord. Her presence gives full support to the skill training programmes run by Naya Rasta. Her personal involvement ensures that trainees and community members trying to establish some form of craft related industry for profit do not indulge in speculative investment. All remedial and tuition classes come under her purview.
